Blood donation event begins at RU

A week long blood donation campaign began on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus on Sunday.

Swajan, a voluntary blood donors' organisation of the campus, arranged the campaign to encourage students to donate blood.

RU Medical Center Deputy Chief Physician Nadira Begum inaugurated the programme in front of Rabindra Bhaban at 10:00am.

Former RU pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Prof Moezul Islam of history department, Prof Rezaul Karim and Dr Masudul Hasan Khan of biochemistry and molecular science department, among others, addressed the inaugural ceremony.
