Birth anniversary of Mohiuddin Ahmed today

Today is the 93rd birth anniversary of Mohiuddin Ahmed, a Language Movement veteran and 1971 Liberation War organiser.

To mark the day, different political and cultural personalities, and Mohiuddin Ahmed Jatiya Smriti Sangsad have chalked out programmes, including discussions and doa mahfils in the capital's Dhanmondi and Mothbaria upazila in Pirojpur.

Wreaths will be placed at his grave at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' graveyard at 10:30am, says a press release. The veteran parliamentarian was born on January 15, 1925 in Pirojpur.
