Biman staff held for theft at Dhaka airport

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines staff and another person were detained today on charges of stealing electronic gadgets at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The detainees are: Saddam Hossain, 23, an employee of “Lost and Found” section, and Md Rokon, a cleaner of cleaning association’s Nahid Traders at the airport.

A close circuit camera recorded Saddam in action, said a press release of Airport Armed Police.

Biman authorities detained Saddam and recovered the gadgets from his bag. He was later handed over to the airport magistrate court for legal action.

Meanwhile, cleaner Rokon reportedly stole one carton of mobile handsets inside the import cargo of the airport around 10:30am. Tipped off, APBn guards arrested him.

A case was lodged against Rokon with Airport Police Station in this connection.
