The demonstrating students formed a human chain and staged a sit-in in front of the National Museum demanding announcement of exam schedule yesterday.

During the demonstration, policemen charged batons and lobbed tear gas canisters on the agitated students to disperse them from the spot.

At least, four students were injured and several others were detained from the spot.

The students were from Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawrdy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Mohila College, Mirpur Government Bangla College, and Government Titumir College.

Besides, a good number of students of Eden Mohila College brought out a procession protesting the police attack on the demonstrating students, filing case and arresting some of their fellow students in this connection.
