Banani college girl rape accused Ivan gives confessional statement

Banani college girl rape accused Bahauddin Ivan gave a confessional statement before a magistrate in Dhaka today.

In his confessional statement, Evan told that he raped the college student after calling her at his Banani residence on July 5.

Metropolitan Magistrate Sabbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury recorded his confessional statement under section 164 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) at his chamber for over three hours.

After recording his statement Evan was sent to jail.

In the case filed with Banani Police Station, the 21-year-old girl stated that Ivan allegedly called her on July 5 to his Banani house on Road-2 and raped her.

Rab arrested Ivan at his aunt's home in Majdair area of Narayanganj on July 6.
