Attendant dies falling from moving train

A staff of Bangladesh Railway died after he fell from a moving train in the capital's Cantonment area yesterday morning.

The deceased Liakat, 45, an attendant of Mymensigh-bound Teesta Express train, was standing near a door of one of the wagons.

He suddenly fell from the running train around 8:30am, said officer-in-charge of Dhaka Railway Police Station Yasin Faruque.

Critically injured Liakat was first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 11:30am, the OC said.
