Asia Foundation donates books

With the help of Pubali Bank Ltd, The Asia Foundation Bangladesh donated 2,618 books to 22 schools in Savar of Dhaka yesterday, marking International Literacy Day.

The programme was held on the Hope School playground Aichanodda area where a daylong book fair was also organised.

Safiul Alam Khan Chowdhury, additional managing director of Pubali Bank, was present as chief guest while Sara Taylor, country representative of The Asia Foundation, as special guest at the event.
