Another woman 'raped' in Banani, two held

Another woman has allegedly been raped by two youths during a birthday party in Banani of Dhaka.

Police arrested the two -- Rajib Ahmed, 28, a resident of Mirpur; and his friend Rubel Hossain alias Joy, 27.

On Sunday, the 18-year-old filed a case with Banani Police Station, accusing them.

According to the case, Rajib took her to the guest house for dinner Saturday evening.

When she wanted to return home after dinner, Rajib requested her to stay longer. Around 1:00am, she was taken to a hotel room where the two raped her.

Mirpur police said Rajib, who is known to the woman for three months, invited her to his birthday party.

Similarly, two university students were raped allegedly by two men in a Banani hotel in March last year.
