Annisul Huq's qulkhwani held

Qulkhwani of late Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul Huq was held yesterday at Gulshan Azad Mosque after the Asr prayers.

Special doa and milad mahfil were held seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.

Awami League General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Awami League leaders Col (retd) Faruk Khan, Shamsul Haque Tuku, AKM Rahmatullah, BNP leaders Moudud Ahmed and Abdul Awal Mintoo were present on the occasion, among others.

Annisul's widow Rubana Huq, son Navidul Huq and younger brother and Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq were present.

Annisul Huq, who had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in London, breathed his last there on November 30 at the age of 65.
