Anisuzzaman opts out of writer, artist conference

Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman of Dhaka University yesterday said he will not be serving as the convenor of All Bengal Writers and Artists Conference.

The conference is scheduled to be held in Dhaka in December this year under the auspices of Bengal Council for Literature and Culture.

“I was never consulted in the matter before or after the announcement was made. I would like to clearly state that I have no connection with this initiative,” Prof Anisuzzaman said in a press release.
