Ali Asghar Rizvi passes away

Syed Ali Asghar Rizvi, a former captain of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, died in Singapore yesterday, says a press release.

He left behind his wife Salma Rizvi, children Syed Zaki and Syed Razi Rizvi, and grandchildren Afraz, Ariana and Alazne Rizvi, and a host of relatives, admirers and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Known as “Badshah” or “Kennedy” to his family and friends, Captain Rizvi was also the chairman of Alliance Properties Limited.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held today at the Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Masjid) after the Isha prayers and he will be buried in the Allenbari graveyard (Drum Factory, behind the PMO) in Tejgaon.
