AL delegation conveys concern to Ctg mayor

A delegation of Chittagong city Awami League expressed their concern to Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin over the recent reassessment of holding tax.

The 10-member delegation had a meeting with Nasir, also general secretary of the same unit, yesterday at Nagar Bhaban. The delegation included four vice presidents, legal affairs secretary, forest and environment affairs secretary and information and research secretaries. Khursed Alam Sujan, vice-president of AL city unit, said they had requested the mayor to lessen the burden of holding tax. Most of the delegation members said they would issue a statement soon in this regard.

Emerging from the meeting, Nasir said, “In case of anomalies, residents can apply to the review board. It will fix the problem.”
