Rights group Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK) today condemned the police action on agitating students demonstrating in Dhaka demanding safe roads.

Such behaviour from police and authority is unacceptable, the rights group said in a statement issued today, which strictly criticised the series of actions.

The rights organization also criticized today’s incident of attacks on students by transport workers in Narayangan.

Terming the students’ demands logical, ASK called on the authorities concerned “to discharge their actions with responsibility,” said the release.

The ASK also sought the interference of authorities concerned to stop such ill treatment on the students by the law enforcers and others.
