9 Bangladeshis return from Indian jail

Seven Bangladeshi women and two children returned home through Benapole check post on Tursday night after serving four-year jail term in an Indian prison.

Indian police handed them over to Benapole immigration police.

The nine, hailing from Khulna, Norail, Bagerhat, and Jessore districts, illegally entered the Indian territory three and a half years ago without valid documents through Jessore border points in search of good jobs, said Benapole check post immigration police.

Indian police arrested them in Mumbai town and they were sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
