837 allottees can move into Rajuk's UAP flats

After a long wait, 837 allottees yesterday finally got the identification number of their flats, built under Uttara Apartment Project (UAP) of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk).

“The apartments are ready. They can now move in,” said a Rajuk official seeking anonymity.

Rajuk on different phases gave allotment of 5,614 flats out of the 6,636 at block-A of UAP.

The 837 were selected through lottery from among 1,832 persons, who had already paid four instalments, said a press release.

Rajuk Chairman Abdur Rahman said people once feared that they might not get the flats. “But the situation has changed,” he said, adding that people, who will pay four instalments by this year, will get the remaining flats.

Each of the 1,654-square-foot flats, having three bedrooms, a living-cum-dining room, four washrooms, four verandas, and a kitchen, is priced at Tk 79.39 lakh.
