7-day Military Hardware Display opens in Dhaka

A seven-day Military Hardware Display began today at the National Parade Square in Dhaka.

The combined display of the three forces has been organised on the occasion of the Independence Day and National Day-2017 celebration, ISPR Director Lt Col Mohammad Rashidul Hassan told reporters today.

The display will remain open for public from 9:30am to 5:30pm every day. It will continue till March 29, he added.

There are 36 stalls and pavilions to show the contributions and bravery of the armed forces during the 1971 Liberation War, he said.

Among the stalls and pavilions, 24 are from Bangladesh Army, six each from Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Forces.  

The stalls and pavilions of three services will also show the activities of the armed forces in nation building and contributions of the armed forces in the UN peacekeeping missions.

Commander Mohammad Shahin Majid of Armed Forces Division, Wing Commander Mohammad Mamunur Rashid of Bangladesh Air Force, Major Syed Maghudur Rahman of Bangladesh Army and Commander M Humayun Kabir of Bangladesh Navy also spoke at the occasion.
