6 more SMGs recovered

Police recovered six more SMGs from a jungle in  Purbachal area under Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj yesterday.

Police on information dug up the earth and recovered the six  sub machine guns wrapped with polythene.

Officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station said a worker of the area first found a portion of the polythene and informed them.

On June 1, 62 SMGs, two binoculars, two rocket launchers, 44 SMG magazines, five pistols, 49 shells, two walkie-talkies, 42 hand grenades and other ammunitions were recovered from a pond at Rupganj .

On June 3, five more SMGs were recovered from the Shitalakkhya river in the upazila .
