The female students are to vacate the halls before 3:00pm and the male students before 1:00pm, our Rajshahi correspondent reports quoting Shirajul Islam, the principal of IHT.

The students organised the sit-in programme protesting locking up of some of the female students by male BCL members in their residential hall on December 3.

A group of female student protesters also submitted a formal letter to the principal of the institute complaining about the incident of December 3 following which today’s attack took place which injured five of the students, our correspondent said.
