5 motobike thieves held in Ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) yesterday held five motorbike thieves and recovered two stolen bikes from their possession.

The arrestees are Md Jabed, 34, Md Sohag, 23, Abu Taleb, 38, Md Jasim, 24 and Md Jahirul Haque Rasel, 27, said police.

“They are active members of a bike stealing gang in the port city” said CMP.

After stealing the bikes the gang will take those outside Chittagong and sell them off,” police said adding, the ringleaders Hannan and Mannan are still at large.

A case was lodged in this connection.
