5 held over Tongi double murder

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested 5 persons over the murder of 2 cousins in Tongi of Gazipur.

The arrestees are Humayun Kabir (35), Jewel Shikder (19), Jibon (29), Billal Hossain (18) and Robiul Robu (18).

The elite forces recovered 2 foreign pistols, magazines, 7 bullets, 1 machete and 245 pieces of Yaba tablets from the detainees, Rab press conference said.

Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of Rab media wing said, Akhter Hossain (35) Asifur Rahman Mim (27), were killed on December 12.

A murder case was filed in this regard with Tongi Police Station accusing 14 persons.
