4 of a family arrested with Yaba tablets in Ctg

Police arrested four members of a family with 7,000 Yaba tablets while they were about to sell those in Chittagong city's Bayezid area yesterday.

Hasan Ali, 55, his wife Rokeya Begum, 40, his son-in-law Md Rahim, 25, and Rahim's mother Anwara Begum, 40, confessed to the crime, said Bayezid Police Station Sub-Inspector Liton Shil.

Officer-in-Charge Md Mohsin said they waylaid them in the area on information that some people carried the pills to sell those at Chakrashokanan.

The Yaba was found in a bag, he said. A case was filed against the four.
