4 burnt in Jurain gas leak fire

Four persons of a family suffered burn injuries in a fire caused by gas leak at their residence in Dhaka’s Jurain area early today.

The injured -- Azad, 50, his wife Jesmin Akhter, 40, his son Rony, 10, and nephew Sharmin Akhter – are receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The fire broke out at the tin-shed house around 8:30am, said Atiqul Alam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Locals took the injured to the DMCH after they put out the blaze.
