4 Bangladeshi students to compete in int'l biology Olympiad

Four Bangladeshi students will participate in the 27th International Biology Olympiad (IBO), to be held in Vietnam's Hanoi on July 17-24.

The participants are Ayman Wadud from Saint Joseph Higher Secondary School, Wasee Rahman Chowdhury from Scholastica, Maisha Munawara Prome from Oxford International School and Wasique Hasan from Mastermind School.

It is the first time a Bangladeshi team will contest in the IBO, the biggest biology competition for the secondary school students, Bangladesh Biology Olympiad told a press conference yesterday at Teacher-Student Centre, Dhaka University.

The students will take part in the event along with two jury members, Prof Rakha Hari Sarker of DU and Samiul Alam Rajib of Brac University.
