3rd phase smart NID card distribution begins Nov 20

The third phase distribution of smart National Identity Card (NID) begins in the capital on November 20 and will continue till January 28 next.

The Election Commission will distribute the cards in 12 wards under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and three wards under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), from 9:00am to 5:00pm every day, said EC sources yesterday.

For details, voters can visit www.nidw.gov.bd; call or send an SMS to 105.

In DNCC, the smart card will be distributed at Kalachandpur Higher Secondary School (Gulshan) for ward-18, Badda Alatunnesa High School (Madhya Badda) for ward-21 and ward councillor's office (Khilgaon) for ward-23.

In DSCC: Khilgaon Government High School (ward-1), Kamalapur School and College (ward-5), Mugdapara Kazi Jafar High School (ward-6), Dhanmondi Kamrunnesa Government High School (ward-15), Meherunnesa Girls School and College (Kalabagan, ward-16), Dhanmondi-1 Government Primary School (Kalabagan, ward-17), Khalil Sardar Community Centre (Hazaribagh, ward-22) and Nababganj Park Government Datobya Chikitsalay and Biamyagar (Lalbagh, ward-23).

Besides, the NID card will be given at Suritola Model Government Primary School (Kotwali Thana, ward-34), Hazi Mazharul Islam Government Primary School (Kotwali, ward-35), Razar Dewri Government Primary School (Kotwali, ward-36) and Bangla Government Girls High School (Bangla Bazar, ward-37).
