300 illegal gas lines disconnected

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd disconnected 300 illegal gas connections in Bairagir Chala area of Sreepur municipality in Gazipur yesterday.

A team of Gazipur Titas office led by its General Manager Abdul Wadud conducted a drive in the area and disconnected the illegal gas connections from 250 houses. Around 3,000 metres of gas pipelines were also seized from the houses. Later, two house owners were fined Tk 30,000 for using gas illegally.
