3 killed as bus falls into ditch in Ctg

A passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a roadside ditch in Chittagong's Raozan upazila this afternoon, killing three including two children.

Identities of the deceased could not be ascertain until this evening, our local correspondent reports quoting Shamim Hossen, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Raozan.

The accident took place in front of the Raozan forest office when the bus, carrying around 40 passengers, was heading towards the port city from Mohalchhori upazila of Khagrachhari around 4:00pm, the government official said.

On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of the victims, Anamul Haque, senior station officer of Raozan Fire Service and Civil Defence office told The Daily Star.
