3 held with drugs, pistol in Comilla

Police arrested three people, including a woman, in possession of 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet, 27 bottles of Phensedyl syrup and one pistol from Dhulirpar village in Daudkandi upazila early yesterday.

The arrestees were identified as Jahangir Alam, son of Sadek Hossain, a resident of Dhulirpar village in Daudkandi upazila, and Palash, son of Golam Mohammad, a resident of Biramkandi village in Titas upazila of Comilla, and Champa Begum, wife of Abdur Rahman, a resident of Gunapara village in Sadar upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station Abu Salam Miah said tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid on the  house of Jahangir Alam in the area and arrested the trio at about 2:00am.

The law enforcers also recovered 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet, 27 bottles of Phensydil syrup and one pistol searching the house.
