3 arrested over Prof Ali killing

Rapid Action Battalion yesterday claimed to have detained three persons over the murder of Prof Ali Hossain Malik.

Saed Fakir Saiful, a caretaker at Ali's office, Saiful's relative Sujan, and Ali's driver Masud Mallik confessed to the killing, said Rab-4 officials at its office in the capital yesterday.

Ali Hossain, 65, was found dead at his office on October 11.

Around Tk 1.27 lakh of Tk 1.5 lakh looted from the victim's office was recovered from them, Rab claimed.
