25 SC lawyers made AAG

The government yesterday appointed 25 Supreme Court lawyers as assistant attorneys general (AAG) for dealing with the cases on behalf of the state, increasing the number of AAGs to 121.

The new AAGs are Mia Sirajul Islam, Anjuman Ara Begum, Najma Afreen, Mafij Uddin, Rokeya Akhter, Md Mizanur Rahman, Abantee Nurul, Mohammad Saiful Alam, Mahfuza Begum Haida, Fatema Rashid, Syeda Sabnam Mustari, Md Towfiq Sajaowar, Kalipodo Mridha, Md Altaf Hossain Amani, Md Hatem Ali,

Muhammad Shaheen Mirdha, Ali Akbar Khan, Md Selim Azad, Aleya Khandaker, Marufa Akhter, AKM Alamgir Parvez Bhuiyan, Jayedi Hasan Khan, Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Kazi Bashir Ahmed and Sabina Parveen.

The law ministry issued a notification to this effect yesterday. There are now one attorney general, two additional attorneys general and 46 deputy attorneys general for dealing with the cases on behalf of the state.
