200 Ctg illegal structures demolished

The authority of Bangladesh Railway (east zone) demolished around 200 illegal tin-roofed houses in Station Colony area of Chittagong city yesterday.

Chittagong Divisional Estate Officer (DEO) of Railway Ishrat Reza conducted the drive assisted by Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), Railway Nirapatta Bahini (RNB) and other railway staff.

In another drive yesterday, the Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) demolished around 100 tin-roofed shops constructed illegally beside CDA Avenue in Muradpur area of the city, said Mahfuzur Rahman, CDA executive engineer.
