2 students of DU nuke engineering dept selected for int'l award

Two students of the Nuclear Engineering department of Dhaka University have been selected for distinction award for a case study on nuclear security in an international competition.

Institute for Nuclear Security of University of Tennessee, US organised the contest for the students of Nuclear Engineering of various countries in November this year.

Mobasher Ahmed and Omer Ahmed of the dept were selected for the top reward of the competition for their case study titled “Addressing the Tunnel Threat at Nuclear Facilities”. Assistant Professor of the department Shafiqul Islam coordinated the team.
