District and police administrations have formed two committees to investigate a landslide that killed two workers in Companiganj upazila of Sylhet.

Sylhet’s Additional District Magistrate Abu Saffat Md Sayedul Islam and Assistant Superintendent of Police Hasnat Ahmed are leading the probe committees respectively and they are on way to the scene, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports around 10:30am.

The committee formed by the local administration has been asked to submit the probe report in two working days, the correspondent reports quoting deputy Commissionet Md Joynal Abedin.

On the other hand, the other committee got five working days to submit its report, said Sugyan Chakma, additional superintendent (media) of Sylhet police.

Two people were killed and several others injured in a landslide during an illegal hill cutting in Companiganj the upazila yesterday.
