2 bikers killed in Joypurhat road crash

Two motorcyclists were killed and another was critically injured as a truck rammed their motorcycle on Joypurhat-Hili road in Shimultali area of Panchbini upazila yesterday noon.

The deceased were identified as Omar Faruk Sohel, 26, son of Nurul Islam of TNT para in municipality area and Salman Shah, 27, son of Sanaullah of Fotehpur village in Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur district.

Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Panchbibi Police Station, said the Joypurhat-bound goods-laden truck hit the motorbike, leaving Sohel dead on the spot and two others critically injured.

The injured were rushed to Joypurhat Adhunik Hospital where doctors declared Salman dead.
