1.3lb baby beats odds at Apollo

A newborn weighing just 1.3 pounds at birth on September 23 on the 28th week of pregnancy has survived following treatment at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, says a press release. 



Suffering from congenital heart defect, retinal problems, urinary tract infection, anaemia and milk protein allergy, the baby was treated by Dr Abu Sayeed Mohammad Iqbal, coordinator & senior consultant, paediatrics. A press conference was organised in this regard in the hospital yesterday.
