13 police officials transferred

The home ministry issued a circular on Monday transferring 13 police officials, including four of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), for “public interest”, effective from July 10.

The CMP four are Additional Commissioner (AC) Mainul Hasan and deputy commissioners (DC) Sanjay Kumar Kundu, Kamrul Amin and Moktar Hossain.

They were made AC of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), superintendent of police (SP) of Tourist Police, Dhaka; DC of Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) and SP of Bhola respectively.

The circular also cancelled the transfer of Additional Commissioner Devdas Bhattacharya of CMP to SMP.

Of the others, SP Sarwar Morshed Shamim of Shardah Police Academy was made DC of SMP, SP Nawroz Hasan Talukder of Tourist Police, Dhaka made SP of Police Bureau of Investigation and SP Abul Khair of Industrial Police, Dhaka made SP of Shardah Police Academy.

Moreover additional SPs MA Masud of Brahmanbaria, Mokhlesur Rahman of Narayanganj, SM Mostain Hossain of Kishoreganj and Abu Hena Khandaker Ohidul Karim of Armed Police Battalion of Mymensingh were made commandant of Range Reserve Force, Chittagong; DC of CMP, DC of CMP and SP of Range DIG Office, Khulna respectively.

In addition, DC Abul Bashar Talukder of Khulna Metropolitan Police and Additional DC Maruf Hossain of Dhaka Metropolitan Police were made SP of Range DIG Office, Dhaka and DC of CMP respectively.
