Touch of Fashion With Moirang

MANIPURI handloom products are famous in Bangladesh for their elegant, exquisite and colourful designs and textures.

The weaving is part of the traditional life of the Manipuri. They produce saris, scarves and even bags.

Under a pilot project, Monipuri weavers learnt to blend fashionable and imaginative designs with their traditional weaving pattern known as Moirang.

The photos were taken at the Moirang Exposition at Krishibid Institutions Complex in the capital. The two-day expo ended yesterday.
