EMK Centre to celebrate World Space Week 2018

World Space Week, is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The EMK Centre is organising a four-day long celebration of the World Space Week this year, starting from 3rd October 2018 and will continue till 7th October 2018. This year has been very significant for both USA and Bangladesh in terms of space endeavors, as NASA is celebrating its 60th anniversary and Bangladesh launched its first satellite Bangabandhu-1. The 4 day-long events will be hosted by the EMK Center and facilitated by different science and astronomical organizations among which are SPSB, Bangladesh Bigyan Jonopriyokoron Shomiti, Onushondhitshu Chokro, Science Organization, Inclusion X, Cartoon People, Bangladesh Olympiad Blog, Bangladesh Astronomical Society, Universe Awareness, and IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach and many more.

The theme for UN-declared World Space Week 2018 is "Space Unites the World", this year the motive behind space week is to celebrate the role of space in bringing the world closer together and share activities that not only instills a sense of knowledge among everyone but also an experience with which everyone will be further interested to know about space explorations and man's endeavors to the unknown.

The program will include, but not limited to following events in the four days long celebration at the EMK Center premise-

· Interactive tour sessions for groups of students from the school, college and universities

· Movie and documentary marathons on space endeavors

· Space watch, coloring, and quiz competition

· Display booths by space and astronomy enthusiast communities

· Display of Mars Rover and other observation equipment

· Talk session by experts on space issues, and motivational speakers
