National High School Programming Contest Starts

For the first time 'National High School Programming Contest 2015' took place in the country targeting high school students in the country with 'Let them know, show yourself off' as its slogan. Organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICT) of Bangladesh government and with Robi and Anwar Ispat, the contest will cover the entire country. The festivities have started this Friday May 8th at Dhaka University with the Dhaka Metropolitan Regional Session. The program was inaugurated at Curzon Hall at the varsity premise by secretary of the ICT Division, Shyam S.0 Sikder and Dean of the engineering faculty of the DU Dr. Rafiqul Islam.

More than 500 students for different schools around Dhaka Metropolitan area participated in it. Later the quiz participants attended a programming workshop.  Champions from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Chittagong, Barisal, Dhaka Metropolitan and Dhaka Division (Gopalganj) will then lock horns at the final contest at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology on 29th May.
