The Daily Star now available on Huawei App Gallery

The Daily Star's official mobile application is now available for download via Huawei's proprietary App Gallery.

The App Gallery, by Chinese technology and telecommunications giant Huawei, was launched in China in 2011 and made available to the global audience in April 2018, and currently has over 400 million monthly active users in 170 countries/regions.

The app marketplace, one of the top 3 such platforms globally, comes pre-installed in more than 3 million Huawei and Honor branded smartphones in Bangladesh.

The Daily Star app has been featured under the "local media app" category and can be downloaded by Huawei smartphone users to stay updated on breaking news, current events and feature stories on the go.

To entice users to the App Gallery, Huawei Bangladesh has launched a giveaway campaign -- upon downloading an app from the store, any user with a registered Huawei ID will be eligible for prizes including Mate30 Pro and Nova 5T smartphones, GT2 smartwatch or FreeBuds 3 earphones.

The giveaway will be hosted from June 15 to July 15.
