A benchmark in performance: Nokia 7 Plus

Powered by Carl Zeiss lenses, the Nokia 7 Plus offers a pair of rear camera that can compete with the top dogs. The main camera sensor is a 12MP dual 1.4 micro pixel sensor with a f/1.75 lens. The secondary camera comes with a telephoto lens of 2X optical zoom. It has a 13MP 1.0 micro pixel sensor.  The result: high-quality image in broad daylight even when you are taking photos from a distance.

Best bang-for-buck: Google Pixel 2

The fabled selfie queen is back with yet another smartphone this year: OPPO F7. It's powered by a 25 MP front camera and takes outstanding selfies, thanks to the HDR effect applied in real-time. The details come great and the colours are not overexposed.  The front camera of the phone remains the same as F5. This is the most budget-friend camera phone on our list.

The king of the hill: Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

The Galaxy S9 Plus is the most advanced smartphone camera on the market right now. The main camera module is already brilliant enough, snapping great pictures with abundant details and great colours. The wider aperture, f/2.4, helps create better pictures by letting in more light from the background while the f/1.5 aperture helps immensely in low light conditions, resulting in amazing pictures.
