Youth Opportunities wins best National Mobile Application Award

International initiative Youth Opportunities (YO) has conferred this year’s best National Mobile Application Award (NMA) from Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department.

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP handed over the award to the co-founders of YO at a flamboyant ceremony at KrishibidInstitution Bangladesh in Dhaka today, said a press release.

NMA Award 2017 is an initiative to select and promote the Bangladeshi best in mobile content and innovative applications.

National Mobile Application Award 2017 is organised by the ICT Division of Ministry of Post & Telecommunication in Bangladesh in collaboration with World Summit Mobile Award, Bangladesh and supported by Google Developer Group.

All the winners from this national contest will be nominated for World Summit Award 2017 to take part in the WSA-Mobile Global Contest, according to the press release.

Youth Opportunities has been selected for their positive contribution in the education and empower young people with free, easy and equal access to youth development related national and international opportunities.

Previously, the initiative received international awards including the Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II and Forbes 30 Under30 in Asia etc.
