4 days' extension to Accord

The Supreme Court today extended the tenure of Accord, a European agency for factory inspection and remediation, till December 10.

The apex court also fixed December 10 for further hearing of an appeal filed by Accord on Building and Fire safety in Bangladesh.

Accord conducts inspection and remediation activities for more than 200 global clothing retailers and brands.

The appeal was filed challenging a High Court directive that asked Accord to stop its activities after November 30.
