Robi starts converting SIM cards into 4G enabled SIMs

Mobile operator Robi has started converting its SIM cards into 4G enabled Robi SIMs to launch the fastest data services to the users across the country as soon as it receives the licence. 

It has already launched a campaign on its social media platform in this regard, a senior official of Robi Axiata Limited told The Daily Star.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulator Commission will give licences to the telecom companies in a month, the telecom regulator earlier said.

Mobile operators are currently using the 2,100 band for 3G and the 900 and 1,800 bands for 2G services.
