Private banks donate to prime minister's relief fund

Private banks of the country have recently donated funds for the relief fund of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Top officials of the banks handed over the funds to the prime minster at a programme at Gono Bhaban in the capital. Among the banks, AB Bank, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, NCC Bank, Prime Bank, Pubali Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Trust Bank, United Commercial Bank and Social Islami Bank donated Tk 1.5 crore each to the fund.

Exim Bank, First Security Islami Bank, Islami Bank Bangladesh, Mercantile Bank, National Bank, Standard Bank, IFIC Bank handed over Tk 2 crore each.

Such donations were also made by Modhumoti Bank—Tk 50 lakh—and NRB Global Bank.
