Weeklong food festival underway in Chattogram

With the title "Silk Road China to Europe", a weeklong food festival commenced at port city's The Peninsula Chittagong on Thursday.

Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam formally inaugurated the festival. Ranks FC Properties Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tanvir Shahriar Rimon was also present at the inaugural session as special guest.

Following the festival, the hotel authority decorated the restaurant with an attractive look, displaying a good number of mouth-watering dishes from different countries expanding from India to China, Italy to Lebanon. The authority said it is the biggest buffet food festival to occur in the history of Chattogram.

This exciting buffet dinner will be available at Tk 3,000 per person (all inclusive).

Besides, 'Buy-1 Get-1 Free' offer will also be available on cards from selected banks, the hotel officials said.

After inaugurating the festival, CCCI President Mahbubul Alam said, "Food lovers can get a taste of foods from different regions under one rooftop. We'll be serving quality foods preserving authentic taste."

Ranks FC CEO Tanvir hoped that the festival would attract local and foreign guests.

Peninsula General Manager Sumedha Gunawardana and International Executive Chef Rasika Weerasinghe attended the programme among others.
