BUFT holds first convocation

The first convocation ceremony of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) was held on September 14.

More than 5,000 students were awarded graduation and post-graduation certificates in the convocation. Out of this, 53 students have been awarded gold medals.

The event was held at Bashundhara International Conference Center in the capital.

Education Minister Dipu Moni was present at the event.  

Among others, Sarwar Alam, additional secretary to the Prime Minister's Southern Region Corporation Cell; Muzaffar Uddin Siddique, founder chairman of the university; SM Mahfuzur Rahman, vice-chancellor of the university; Ayub Nabi Khan, pro-VC; German Ambassador Akhim Troester; members of the board of trustees; syndicate and academic council members; BGMEA President Farooq Hasan; BGMEA and FBCCI past president Shafiul Islam and BGMEA leaders, government and private high-ranking officials and university teachers and officials attended the event.
