3rd Global Changemakers Summit held in Dhaka

On January 24th, the 3rd Global Changemakers Summit and awards were held in Dhaka, Bangladesh with the theme of "Innovation, education and leadership for Climate Action." The event was organised by H&H International Foundation in association with Project 100 India and Human Harmony Nepal. The summit brought together a diverse group of international delegates, including government officials, ambassadors, and academics, to discuss and recognise the efforts being made to address the pressing issue of climate change. The chief guest for the event was H.E. Md. Shahriar Alam, MP the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. Other notable attendees included H.E Guner Ureya, Ambassador of Embassy of Kosova, H.E Lalita Silwal, Deputy Chief of Mission Embassy of Nepal, Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary, Member of Parliament and Brigadier General (retd.) Dr M. Sakhawat Hussain, Former Election Commissioner, Dr. Annun Nishat, Climate Change Specialist, Dr. Tanvir A. Khan, former Vice Chancellor Hamdard University, AAM Nasir Uddin former Secretary Ministry of Health and Family welfares.

During the summit, 32 international delegates including Bangladeshi were awarded for their outstanding work in various causes and fields related to climate change. The awards recognised the contributions of climate change and promote sustainable development.

The event was a success, bringing together leaders from around the world to discuss the urgent need for innovation, education and leadership to tackle the challenges of climate change. The summit served as a platform for sharing ideas, building connections and creating a sense of shared purpose in the fight against climate change. The Daily Star was the media partner of the event.
