Up to Tk 5,000 allowance for state banks' employees working in haor, char areas

Officers and employees of six state-owned commercial banks in haor, island and char areas will get an allowance between Tk 1,650 and Tk 5,000 per month.

The Bangladesh Bank today issued a notice to six lenders to this end as per the decision taken by the finance ministry.

Officers and employees of the banks working in such areas under 16 upazilas will get the allowance.

The six state lenders are Sonali, Janata, Agrani, Rupali, Bangladesh Development Bank and BASIC.

The employees under the Grade-20 will get Tk 1,650 while Grade-7 to 1 will be able to enjoy a maximum allowance of Tk 5,000.
