Sameer Sattar elected DCCI president

Md Sameer Sattar, head of Sattar&Co, has been elected as the president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) for the year 2023.

Besides, SM Golam Faruk Alamgir (Arman) and Md Junayed Ibna Ali have been elected as senior vice president and vice president of the DCCI respectively.

They took over their charges at an annual general meeting (AGM) of the chamber held in its auditorium today, the DCCI said in a press release.

The newly elected directors are Engr MA Wahab, Razeev H Chowdhury, Taskeen Ahmed, M Shafiqul Alam, Kamrul Hasan Tuhin and M Mosharrof Hossain.

Sattar, a renowned corporate lawyer, is currently serving as the head of Sattar&Co, a legal consultancy firm that advices on corporate and commercial law matters in dealing with local and foreign investments.

Meanwhile, SM Golam Faruk Alamgir (Arman) is now serving as the managing director of BDCOM Online Ltd while Md Junaed Ibna Ali is the chairman of Hitech Steel & Plastic Industries (Pvt) Ltd, chairman of Zaber Steel, and proprietor of JN Corporation and Trade Land International.
