ICT Division wins Bangabandhu Public Administration Award-2022 for Surokkha platform

ICT Division has won the "Bangabandhu Public Administration Award-2022" in recognition of its contribution to combat Covid-19 with its digital vaccine management system Surokkha.

"Surokkha is an example that technology can make life easier," said Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT, at an event today celebrating the recognition at the conference room of the ICT Division in Dhaka.

Palak urged the youth to come forward with innovative ideas to build an advanced and knowledge-based 'smart Bangladesh'.

NM Zeaul Alam, senior secretary of the ICT Division, was present.

In order to distribute the Covid-19 vaccine among the people of Bangladesh, the ICT Division developed Surokkha web portal and mobile application to proceed with the initial registration process.

Surokkha is providing the facility to register for vaccination for the people of Bangladesh.

As of today, the app was downloaded over 5 million times from the Google Play Store.
